1938 Australian Crown Coin Ring

1938 Australian Crown Coin Ring

This beautifully hand crafted coin ring made from a 1938 Australian Crown is fit for a King (or Queen).

This ring really makes a statement and is truly a work of art.

The Australian Crown was originally issued in 1937 to mark the coronation of King George VI. It's commemorative appeal was lost when it was issued again in 1938. The 1938 coins fetch a much higher price due to a much smaller mintage in that year.

The 1938 Australian Crown has obverse that features a portrait of King George VI facing left, with the lettering: ‘GEORGIVS VI D.G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP.’

The reverse side of the coin features Queen Victoria’s Diamond Crown above the date and value. The reverse lettering reads: ‘COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA ONE CROWN’.
